What: In this class, you will learn the basics of handbuilding and illustration on air-dry clay. We’ll first create a catch-all dish using air-dry clay, learning to condition the clay, create a slab, and form our dishes. Then we will explore the various methods of decorating and illustrating using acrylic paint, sealing our projects as we finish. Most materials will be provided. Bring any fun textures, cookie cutters, stamps or tools.

About the Artist: Kassandra is a Latina potter and illustrator based in Phoenix, AZ. Much of her work is inspired by her cat Luci, anime, video games, movies, and other pop culture media. Kassandra works as a pottery instructor at a local pottery studio and has a passion for learning other mediums.
